Terms And Conditions
1. Scope of Services
Aurora Women’s Medical provides private women’s health consultations, including menopause assessment, treatment, and ongoing care.
Services include:
Menopause initial consultations and follow-up reviews
Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) prescribing and management
General women’s health consultations
Blood tests and investigations where clinically appropriate
Aurora Women’s Medical is not an emergency service and does not replace your NHS GP. Patients are expected to remain registered with an NHS GP for ongoing and urgent care.
2. Appointments
Consultation lengths are as follows:
Menopause initial consultation: 45 minutes
Follow-up consultations: 30 minutes
Women’s health consultations: 30 minutes
Appointments are designed to be thorough, focused, and unhurried, and typically address one primary concern per consultation.
3. Fees, Cancellations & Non-Attendance
All appointments must be paid for in advance.
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full
Missed appointments (non-attendance) will be charged at the full consultation fee
4. Prescribing Policy
Prescriptions are issued at the clinician’s discretion and only when clinically appropriate.
Aurora Women’s Medical:
Prescribes HRT and may prescribe other medications, including antibiotics where appropriate
Does not prescribe controlled drugs under any circumstances
May limit prescription quantities or require review before issuing repeat prescriptions
Reserves the right to decline prescribing requests where not clinically indicated
5. Investigations & Test Results
Blood tests and other investigations may be arranged where clinically appropriate using accredited laboratories.
Patients are responsible for any associated costs
Results will be reviewed and explained as part of follow-up care
External test results may be accepted at the clinician’s discretion
Aurora Women’s Medical is not responsible for delays caused by third-party laboratories or external providers.
6. Referrals
Where necessary, patients may be advised or referred to:
NHS services
Private specialists
For certain conditions (e.g. premature ovarian insufficiency), specialist review will be recommended.
7. Communication Policy
At present, Aurora Women’s Medical does not provide routine clinical advice via email, messaging, or WhatsApp.
Future services may include limited follow-up communication, which will be clearly defined
Communication channels are not monitored continuously and must not be used for urgent concerns
8. Urgent & Emergency Care
Aurora Women’s Medical does not provide urgent or emergency care.

9. Patient Responsibilities
Patients are expected to:
Provide accurate and complete medical information
Inform the clinician of any changes in health or medication
Follow agreed treatment plans
If you are unsure of any aspect of your medical history (including medications, allergies, or previous health conditions), you may be asked to provide a summary care record or medical summary, which can be obtained from your registered NHS GP.
Clinical advice is based on the information provided at the time of consultation.
10. Children and Young People
Young people under the age of 16 may be seen when accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. In certain circumstances, and in line with professional guidance, young people may be assessed independently where appropriate.
11. Confidentiality & Data Protection
Aurora Women’s Medical is committed to maintaining patient confidentiality in line with UK GDPR and data protection laws.
Information may be shared without consent only where:
There is a risk of harm to the patient or others
There is a legal or safeguarding obligation

13. Professional Standards
· All care provided at Aurora Women’s Medical is based on current evidence-based medicine, including guidance from National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and the British Menopause Society (BMS), where applicable.
· Appropriate clinical indemnity cover is in place for all services provided.
